1999 I almost met you today

I Almost Met You Today was the first professionally created solo by Tomas Danielis, made when he was 19 years old. The work premiered in 1999 at the International Contemporary Dance Festival in Yaroslavl (Russia) and was subsequently presented at Dock 11 in Berlin and Dance in Movement in Bratislava. The solo was later performed on several occasions in Slovakia and abroad.

As Danielis’s first professional production, the piece was created as an improvised work, an early interest in real-time composition and performative presence.
